We Upgraded Our Server From 2GIG RAM to 4GIG RAM

Because of the sheer number of blogs and CPU resources this network is using, I’ve decided to upgrade up to 4GIG RAM and increase the physical caching on the dedicated server to (I believe) 20GIG. We were running close to levels that were close to the red zone, and risked being “blinked” off and having our sites out of commission for a short period of time. In fact, it actually happened 3 times in the past 2 weeks - but, thanks to Montastic.com and the fact that HART never sleeps .. I was online each time when it happened and initiated a quick reboot. The downtime was minimal.

I would be curious hearing from our regular readers to find out if this really makes any difference in the actual surfing of our blogs and pages - besides being a precautionary measure on future CPU Resource overloads.
